I hope everyone had a wonderful Chanukah. This is a very quiet time of year for the Sisterhood. Sisterhood was proud to present the Shul with a check for $18,000. Sisterhood works very hard raising the money, and everyone deserves a big Thank You. We will continue to fundraise and strive to do even better next year. We had two wonderful events. Myrna Rosenberg gave Sisterhood wonderful tips on food preparation. We had a nice turnout and all learned a lot. Thank you Myrna! The second event was at Spertus Museum in their newly renovated building, and lunch at their new Kosher restaurant. Both were wonderful and a big Thank You to Phyllis Kaplan for organizing and planning these events. I would also like to thank Winnie, Sandy and everyone who helped at the Borders fundraiser. A special thanks to Barb Schiff and all her helpers for working so hard for the holiday season at the gift shop. I am very excited to announce that this year’s Yeshiva Women’s “Women of Valor” is Minoo Banayan. She is a longtime member and treasurer of the sisterhood. A luncheon honoring Yeshiva Women’s Women of Valor will be held at the Doubletree Hotel on March 12. It would be nice if we all could attend and give Minoo our support. In the meantime, we have an open meeting with Helen Baylis, January 9. See you there and stay warm! |
